Okay this is the best way I know that we can do some planning this many miles away. So to Crystal and Kimmie, comment back on here. Tell Monique to come check my blog. And Patricia, I am sending you the link to your KBR email.
So, we are going to finally have a wedding. We will actually have the time, the means, and be living right where we spent our first few days as husband and wife... so, it's about time we went ahead and made it happen.
We always talked about having our wedding on the beach. A church is very traditional, and we wanted something different. Plus nothing beats standing on that white sand next to that beautiful water (well, maybe if it were Puerto Rico, Hawaii or something like that). Anyway, I looked around for places and there are a lot of little beach wedding companies that do weddings. But I wanted something special. We may be married, but I want it to be something I'll always remember. So I just happened upon the Sandestin Resort website. They do everything there. It is a resort community. There are numerous different condo's, villas, etc to stay in, places to dine, swim, golf... whatever you want. And if all else fails, the beach is steps away. Then I started looking at what they offer for weddings. All I can say is WOW!
As for the venue's, I like: The Bayview Room and Terrace, the Beach, Finz Restaurant and Loft and the Grand Lawn.
There is info regarding almost everything on there. Of course I will have to call and find out more, especially how much, but it just looks perfect. Now, what I am also thinking is that if I do book a wedding with them that they might be willing to offer some discounted rates on accomidations for wedding party/guests. I figure that if you are all coming to Destin, you might as well make a little mini-vacation out of it, AND it won't be until June-July 2010.
Our anniversary is September 15th, but by then the water starts getting choppy, there are numerous sea slugs in water and school is well under way. So I thought that we'd have our wedding ceremony in June or July that way it's perfect time for everyone to get away for a little summer vacation and then all of the kids will be on summer break, and by that time, even Chloe, Caitlyn and Rylen will be able to enjoy the beaches.
So, click on the links I provided. Tell me what you think.

I've been tagged....
The rules are:
Pick the 4th photo from the 4th folder of photos and then in turn tag 4 others to do the same.
This is my baby... in my belly. Awe, I remember that day too. From the date on this 4-D ultrasound (2/21/07) it's almost been two years. Lord, time flies. I can't believe Aidyn is going to be 2 in May!
As for tags... well, Kim and Crystal already did this, and I don't think my brother gets on Blogger much so... repost if you want to!

Some very belated updates!!!
Well I finally received notification that I had been selected as a PHO on December 4, 2008. All I have to say is they sure took their sweet ass time. As for assignments, well they weren't exactly what I had hoped for.
Base Assignment: Hurlburt Field, FL
COT Assignment: 09COT03 March 10- April 10
My initial thought was to decline the orders to Hurlburt Field. The closet place on my dream sheet to HF was Patrick AFB, FL in Cocoa Beach. But as for the rest:
McChord AFB, WA
Travis AFB, CA
Colorado (Petersen, USAFA...)
Patrick AFB, FL
Hickam AFB, HI
Aviano AB, Italy
Andersen AB, Guam
Germany
England
But after talking to Anthony and a few other people I decided to accept my orders to Hurlburt Field. Although, the general consensus was: "how the hell did you (meaning I) get orders to there when you had Travis on you dream sheet?" I don't know.
I am bummed about the March COT date, we were really shooting for January. And there were other people who applied the same time I did and got the January class. But I guess it happens for a reason. So I'll not complain and just be glad that I was picked in the first place.
I commissioned on January 12th at the Keesler Medical Center Emergency Room. Well, actually it was in the ambulance bay. Dr. Oliver Mayorga commissioned me. He also did Anthony's re-enlistment; kinda cool, huh. It took all of 5 minutes. I just had to sign a bunch of papers I've already signed, and that was it. Now we are waiting on orders. My new recruiter said he should get a copy via email in 2-3 weeks and he would send me a copy to my email. And in case you were wondering, my old recruiter went back to his old AFSC (job) and PCS'd (permanent change of station) to Nellis AFB, NV aka freakin' Las Vegas. So, I now have a new recruiter.
Anthony deployed on January 16th to Al Udeid, Qatar. It sucks not having him here. It's funny how you don't know how much you'll miss someone until they are gone. I hope these six months go by quickly. I'll have a lot to do once March rolls around, it's just the time between now and then that will seem to drag. He is on nights over there, so that means we are awake at the same time. It is a nine hour difference. He get's to make morale phone calls and can obviously send emails as well. He works 6 days and has 1 day off, so he probably wont make too many trips off base. I told him to take pics if/when he does go off base.
So I suppose that's about it for now... even if there were more to write, Aidyn is awake and I can hear him whining in his room.
