Can we say OVERDUE...

So it seems as though I fell off the face of the earth for a while there. I just never had time to get on here and make any changes. A lot has happened since I last "blogged".

I went to Commissioned Officer Training at Maxwell AFB from 10 Mar - 10 Apr. In hindsight, I had a great time. While I was there, I was just ready to get the hell out of Maxwell. I had a great Flt/CC and Echo Flt was awesome. I met some really cool people, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

I am now assigned to Hurlburt Field, FL. I am in the 1 SOAMDS, Public Health Flight. I am the other officer, and for a while I was the other Lt. Being a Lt sucks. It doesn't matter if you are a butterbar or a 1Lt, it just plain sucks. I can't wait to pin on Capt, but that's not for close to two years, so I'll just have to suck it up for now. At least my supervisor JUST pinned on Capt so he knows what it's like to be the Lt- the very low man on the "O" totem pole. I'm learning as I go, both PH and Military rules and regs/customs and courtesies. It'll come with time. I'm a quick learner, and I like to get things right.

Anthony is almost done with his deployment!!!!!!!! YAY! I am soo excited. 6 months feels like forever, especially when my whole life has changed in the course of those 4+ months he's been in Al Udeid. I definitely could have used his help, but this is a testament of my strength as a mom and a woman. I'm pretty damn proud of myself for doing a lot of this on my own. But truthfully, no matter how far away he is, I always have his love and support and that of my friends and family as well. So I consider myself blessed.

Before I left for COT, Anthony and I were talking about finally having our wedding. But now I think we are going to put that on hold. After the New Year, we are going to try for Baby Bradford #2. Yes, even despite this horrible time we all know as the terrible two's, we still want to expand our family. I'm sure it won't take long, but regardless we'll just put it in God's hands, and have faith that we'll get pregnant when the time is right. This will work best for us. Aidyn would be three before we had baby #2 and hopefully potty train(ing or ed) by then. I'd be pinning on Capt in the spring of 2011, and I'll be hitting my 2 year mark at Hurlburt for my eligibility to PCS. And I'd definitely rather have baby #2 before I'm 30 and before we PCS overseas (fingers crossed).

Ok, so that's all the updates for now.
